This picture shows the texture of my hair. It is really filling out nicely and beginning to get a locked look. I braided my hair in about 10 big braids, spritzed with Rose Water, and tucked the ends under. The result is this krinkly look which I really like. I don't feel comfortable free styling yet, but it's nice to know that it's an option should I care to.Click on the image to see a larger version. Thanks so much for putting your Sisterlock journey online! After years of having a relaxer, I got fed up and have not had a relaxer since November. Now I have 3 inches of natural hair and about 3 inches of permed hair. I heard about Sisterlocks a month ago and have decided to get them (my appt is in 2 weeks!) What really inspired me was visiting the websites of people (like you, Leighann and Sandy) who posted their progress/adventure with Sisterlocks. I'm look forward to seeing how your locks mature. I think they look great already!! I am thinking about creating a blog about my Sisterlock journey, but first I guess I need to invest in a digital camera!!

BlaqKofi...what can I say? I'm just about speechless viewing your SL pics. You are the real deal, confidence and freedom radiates from each photo. I am especially fond of your blog because we both reside in Texas and our Sisterlock birthdays are only a couple of weeks apart.

My sista! Such a beautiful smile and spirit--You would look beautiful bald!. I especially appreciate you sharing your hairstyle technique. I have been SL for 4 mos. I have about 4-4.5 inches of curly qued locs. I mostly freestyle but after seeing your 5 week pics, I am going to braid it up tonight! Thank you for the inspiration. And keep shining your light.
