Check out mom and her beautiful Sisterlocks during Christmas. I'm so proud of her. Her locks are progressing well. We were a little concerned initially because of her loose curl pattern and soft hair. But, she's had no problems and surprisingly - little slippage. I continue to braid and band before I wash them.

Sistah I so applaude you for taking the trek to happy nappyness and telling your story with pics! I was wondering about the cost and maintence because I going from one transition to another. Cut off my tradtional loc's and getting sisterlocks in about 2 weeks or so. I have read your blog and many of the other sistahs so truely I have been so inspired to take this trek just feeling a little out off sorts but I do know it gets greater later!

Wow! Mom is looking fierce! Her locks have really blossomed in just six months. I know she's loving her journey, I'm very proud. Trying to encourage my Nana to lock it up. Hope this photo helps her.
