2010 Wishes

Happy New Year to all of the beautiful Nubian queens and kings who honor me by stopping by Natural Awakenings. I'm grateful for the positive feedback and encouragement you continue to send my way. It tells me that my message is being heard and felt. Those diehard NA fans understand that the message is much deeper than natural hair freedom and Sisterlocks.

It's been four and half years of Sisterlocks blogging.  Each year I think, "this is the year that I'll stop."  But with each day, month, client, enlightenment, obstacle, challenge, pick-myself-up, get-back-in-da-race, look-within experience,  I find more to share with you, more that I feel compelled to share with you.  I'm excited about 2010, like no other year.

If you will be so gracious as to continue visiting Natural Awakenings, I'd love to share this next phase of my journey with you.  Perhaps along the way, you will find something of inspiration, motivation or empowerment - and of course - more Sisterlocks!
"Until a person takes responsibility for where she is, there is no basis for moving on.  The bad news is that the past was in your hands, but the good news is that the future, is also in your hands."
The Traveler's Gift
Andy Andrews

Be sure to drop back by for my annual New Year's message - no this isn't it - so get ready!

Love and Abundance,

Hair:  Day 1 of a Soft Spike curl set, lightly spritzed dry locks with 50/50 Lottabody/water solution. Left SS in overnight.  Curls were individually and gently separated for a soft look.  This set will last 2 plus weeks or until washed.  I love me some Sisterlocks!

I must say that I truely elated that you didn't stop blogging. I ran across your blogg while I was researching Sisterlocks and I found more than what I expected. Your site has been extremely helpful not only with Sisterlocks but just life in general. I also appreciate the sisters you have under your blog list. You have inspired me to start my own blog about my sisterlocks experience although mine will not be as wonderful as yours. I even mention you in my blog so Thank You Than You so much and I hope you have a safe and wonderful new years!

Wow, your hair is so beautiful. I also love that hair color on you. I notice you do not have the thick ends I see on a lot of locks. Do cut your ends to prevent thick bulky ends? Oh, and happy new years from PebblesPages.Com.

Question: I want to take the 4 day Sisterlocks class, do I have to already have sisterlocks installed?
