O.K., I'm gonna help you - can you identify this nubian queen?
Why, it's none other than BlaqKofi!
It's been a minute, but what I lack in quantity I try to make up for in quality. I like to give you something cerebral as well visual.
Life's been hectic, but oh so good. So much to share - some of it deep - some of it I may not even get around to blogging about - but you'll be able to tell the difference - it's all good.
O.K. let's start with the easy stuff first then see where the writing leads us...
There's a new man in my life (details in next post).
Above pic: 22m - I was getting ready for bed tonight and began to play with and finger comb my locks, as I so often do. Four days ago I used the Caruso's to add some body to a two-week-old Soft Spike Curl set. (I'm back in love with the ssc...a future post). I've done nothing, but pull them up into a pony at night, wake up, finger style and go.
Here I am earlier in the day, getting ready to host a baby shower for my son and daughter-in-law (another post) nothing done to my hair except pulled back, clipped and finger styled. Sisterlocks are absolutely amazing!

Four years ago, I met a sister with small, gorgeous, neat locks in Tom Thumb on Sycamore School Road in Fort Worth, Texas and asked, "are those dreads?" "No they are called Sisterlocks. Go to www.sisterlock.com and check them out." I am eternally grateful that our paths crossed on that fateful day.
That Tom Thumb has since closed...I often wonder about the sister who opened the SL door for me, wish I had of gotten her name or number so that I could tell her how she contributed to my Natural Awakenings...
but also,
so that she could see
BlaqKofi on loc'down.
I think she would be proud.
And my journey continues...

As always you and hair look awesome!
Hey Blaq! Missed you!!! You look fab as usual! I'm glad your absence was due to good things happening!
Oh my goodness, your hair has grown so much and it is beautiful. I haven't been online for a while so imagine my suprise at seeing how far your locks have come in just 6 months. Gorgeous!
Your hair looks great. Glad you are back to blogging too!
Needless to say, I'm inspired, both by your locs - which look fab-u-lous - and by the fact that you don't look like you have a son that age (he's gorgeous btw, can I say that?), and you certainly don't look like a soon-to-be grandmother (congrats, and I pray for a safe delivery). Wow! It's God's blessings, I know.
Oh, I forgot. I looove your new 'man' :-) Talk about cute and adorable. I'm a certified dog lover, and consider myself an "aunt" to my sister's 2 Shitzhu-Poodles, Taz & Ash. lol.
This post INSPIRED my latest post which was a tribute to Creoyole. You two are phenomenal women. I specifically liked the part where you mentioned the lady who initially attracted you to Sisterlocks. Keep doing what you are doing because you do it so EXCELLENT.
