IWhipMyHairBacknForth

SL 6 Years

Sisterlocks washed with  Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Aloe Shampoo.  Conditioned with Organic Root Stimulator Oilve Oil Replenishing Conditioner.   Towel dry followed by a generous hand full of Organic Stimulator Olive Hair Lotion paying particular attention ends.  (I heavily condition and moisturize during each bi-weekly wash.)  Locks were allowed to air dry naturally.  With the help of our 100+ degree weather it didn't take long.

I love the feel of my Sisterlocks against my skin, running through my fingers - especially freshly washed locks.  And I will admit, it's been kinda cool showering sans showercap this week.  It was an added layer of freedom and I liked it!

This lock thang is so beautiful.  Our locks just keep evolving for the better, each phase beautiful in its own right, adding yet another layer of knowledge and experience to our Natural Awakenings.

Are YOU growing along WITH your Sisterlocks?   ~BlaqKofI

NOTE:  Please discuss any product use with your Sisterlocks Consultant PRIOR to trying, particularly if your locks have not completely settled.

Blaqkofi thanks for this post..been struggling to find the right products here in South Africa for my locks without heavy oils etc
Can't find Jamaican Mango & Lime (is that what its called?) but we have Organic Root stimulator products, will try those & save myself import duties (and waiting)

I shared your blog address with a sistah I met at the airport today. I praised her beautiful hair and course a sisterlocks discussion began! Her sisterlocks are 5 years old and beautiful. The ironic thing is that I don't have locs , but i've followed your blog for years, trying to work up the courage to get them!

She was so encouraging to me as I discussed my apprehension regarding locing my 6+ inches of natural hair. Her kindness reminded me of you and the feeling I get everytime I read your blog. I felt compelled to share YOU with her. It never ceases to amaze me how we sistahs
support one anothe; even sistah strangers we
meet walking out of the restroom at the airport!

Continue to be blessed and never stop doing what you do!

Absolutely gorgeous. Your Sisterlocks are so healthy!

I'm still early with my Sisterlocks. I look forward to getting to experiment with products. I think my scalp will need some care. It's pretty flaky in certain spots.

Your locs are beautiful and I love your blog. I've been off the Sisterlock blog circuit for a minute but I'm happy to see all the beautiful sister carrying on. Thanks for continuing to chronicle your journey and being such an inspiration.
