Curlers & Styles

My Spike Curlers came in and as promised, here's my update. First of all, I liked their turnaround. The curlers arrived within 2-3 days after I placed my order. They're very easy to use and comfortable to sleep in. I used all 30 rollers and had a really tight set that has lasted for five days now and still going. Of course, I need to experiment some more, but here goes.

Oh and for all of you who say I only post pretty pictures of myself (duh! why not?) get ready to be frightened!

Caruso Steam Curlers - Fast, sets my hair in 10 minutes. Loose curls with lots of bounce and body. Curls last 1-2 days

Solar Rollers - Nice full, body set. Not very comfortable to sleep in. Curls last 3-4 days.

Spike Curlers - Tight set, but I've only tried them once. More experimenting to come. Easy to sleep in and comfortable. Curls last for days...5 so far and still counting (used a spritz mixture of 2/1 water and Lottabody.)

You are stunning! All of the curler give you a very pretty and full style. So are you only using the smaller sized soft spikes and Carusos?

Helga, thank you for the kind compliment. I used only the small spike curlers. I'm thinking of ordering a larger size. But before I do I'll also experiment with using more hair per spike for a looser curl. I use all three sizes with the Carusos.

Very nice photo! I use flexirods (solar rollers) from time to time, which as you said are not very comfortable to sleep in. I'm now thinking about ordering a package of the Soft Spikes and giving those a try. In order to get the look you have (tight curl) did you spritz your Sls before rolling with the Soft Spikes, or did you dry roll and the look is a result of the small size spike curlers?

Sharon, when using the spike curlers I used a 1/2 water-1/2 Lottabody spritz mixture.

All the styles you have shown are beautiful.. I don't have any of the rollers.. I have just used the old sponge rollers when I have done my hair and it comes out pretty good.. I usually do it when it is wet and it just take so long to dry will try just spraying it a little and see how that works.. where do you order the comfortable rollers you were speaking of from.
