How Do You?

Now that I'm getting some length, I was curious how others maintain their locks. Please answer the following questions:

1. How do you wear you hair to bed?

2. If you cover your locks with anything, what?

3. What do you do with your locks during showers? Shower cap? Pull them up?

4. How often do you wash your locks?

I cover my locks with a DreadSock every night.

Sometimes I wear a big shower cap (or plastic shopping bag). When I need the extra moisture, I just pile them high on my head and let the steam penetrate.

4. How often do you wash your locks?

Once every 2-3 weeks.

Greetings!
I wear my hair in a slip {tie-a-knot in one end}. yeah, my Locs are 8 yrs. old.

the styles I wear are Traditional, {hang-straight-down}, pony tail, or Afrikan Braid. Sometimes I wear my crowns that I Crochet/Knit. :)

I now have to wear TWO shower caps!
One in the back, & 1 in the front.
I wash my Locs once every 2-3 wks.

Take care!

1. How do you wear your hair to bed? Sometimes when I am lazy and very sleepy, I pull my locks back into a pony tail or even sleep with them free,"but that is not that often because I want to take care of my locks :)"

2. Do you cover your locks with anything. If so, what?
Satin sleeping cap that has a draw string in the back. This is what I sleep with 90% of the time.

3. What do you do with your locks during showers? Shower cap? Pull them up? Mostly shower cap, but sometimes I pull them up into a pony tail.

4. How often do you wash your locks? Usually, once every two weeks, but as they are getting much longer I have been alternating from once a week to every 2 weeks, it just depends on how they feel and look.

This was a great post to obtain good information.

Hey B--

1. I usually wear my hair down to bed...
2. ...covered with a long satin scarf.
3. I still cover my locks during showers with a shower cap (girl, its tough but I pack them all in). I use the time to do a mini steam treatment w/ a few drops of oil.
4. I wash every 2 weeks.

BTW, your hair is looking amazingly healthy and lush these days!

1) I tie my loose locks up in a scarf. Just like I have been doing most of my life. Sometimes I sleep in SoftSpike curlers.

2) I cover them with a scarf

3) My locks are not that long yet so in the shower I don't wear anything on my head

4) I shampoo about once every 10 days.

1 & 2. I've been quite lazy these days. I throw my hair up in a satin bonnet. I used to be real good and put a scrunchy up top. Now, I just stuff (tuck) and go.

3. Mostly showcap. (see #1 & 2)

4. Too ashamed to say. Not often enough.

Your hair is fantastic. I have had SL for nine year so let’s take this in hair length.
1. When they were, should length a long scarf. When they are middle of back, invest in a good satin pillow and good extra long scarf. The satin pillow is normally enough but scarf keeps other folks out your hair at night (my young son would get into bed and wrap himself in my locks).
2. Since I have cut them, my locks are bra strap length and I use satin pillowcase and scarf.
3. When they were shoulder length a shower cap. When they are middle of back, pull them up into a giant bun on top of my head. Now extra large shower cap ordered off line.
4. Now I try to wash once a week. When they were longer every 10-14 days because they took so long to dry.
Peace
Azzia

Blaq,

I love your hair but most of all I love your spirit. I feel like I know you just by reading your blog. I pray your sister (Lady T)is doing well and much strength to her! I will be getting my SLs on 4/4 and pray that they turn out looking as beautiful as the DFW crew!

Take Care and keep on posting,
Charlotte
